Welcome to God Grief!

Everyone in modern western culture is culpable for the rise of this website. And the United States of America, the country so famous for its vibrant intellectual community and higher schools of learning, has recently succumbed to a highly politicized and hysterical branch of liberalism (not to be confused with political correctness*) that has shut down any public discussion of what makes for the good life. Television programming has everyone convinced that the world is more dangerous now than it ever has been when in truth it is our story telling, gawking habits, and lurid imaginations that have become more vividly violent than ever. The only response anyone notices is the rise of piety/religiousity and the damn 'neo-atheist' movement. America has been taken over by a tyranny of relativism! Why? Is it terrorism? Have we fixed our minds on what we imagine would be OUR thoughts were we to be preparing to jump out of the window of a smoke-filled office 100 stories high to our OWN death? Now more than ever, we should be openly and frequently discussing family values, good manners, prayer, Islam, morality, death and everlasting life!

Let us pray the fires of America's culture wars never go cold. May they burn brighter and hotter until her citizens are moved to some kind of action, whether physical or mental. If they cannot emerge from this impending gauntlet unscathed, then by God Almighty, may their flesh be scorched forever more!
